Occupational Therapist (Allied) Acute Care
Location: Cumming Georgia 30041
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 8-Hour Day Shift (8:00 AM 4:30 PM)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours per Week
On-Call: None
Schedule Requirements
4 weekend shifts required every 4 weeks
1 winter holiday and 1 summer holiday required
No local candidates within a 50-mile radius
Compensation
Gross Weekly Pay: $2246/week
W2 Rate: $25/hour
Weekly Stipend: $1246/week
Position Overview
A leading acute care hospital in Georgia is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) for a 13-week contract assignment in the Acute Care department.
The Occupational Therapist will provide patient-centered care evaluate functional abilities and develop treatment plans to improve patients independence and safety during hospitalization.
Responsibilities
Evaluate and assess patients functional and cognitive abilities
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Provide therapeutic interventions in an acute care setting
Educate patients and families on rehabilitation strategies
Document care accurately in the electronic medical record
Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of Occupational Therapy experience
Active Georgia Occupational Therapist License
BLS certification required
Acute Care experience required
EMR experience required (Cerner preferred)
