JOB SUMMARY
The HealthySteps Supervisor provides frontline supervision reflective support and practice-level quality oversight for HealthySteps Specialists embedded in pediatric and family medicine clinics. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality service delivery fidelity to the HealthySteps model at the site level and strong day-to-day collaboration with clinic partners.
The Supervisor is responsible for supporting staff performance professional development and reflective practice while escalating operational or systemic issues to the HealthySteps Program Manager. This role does not own program strategy external partnerships or funder relationships.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Staff Supervision & Reflective Practice
- Provide direct supervision to HealthySteps Specialists embedded in assigned clinic sites.
- Facilitate regular reflective supervision to support staff well-being professional growth and high-quality practice.
- Observe service delivery and provide coaching feedback and corrective guidance as needed.
- Support onboarding and ongoing skill development of HealthySteps Specialists in collaboration with the Program Manager.
Practice-Level Program Fidelity & Quality
- Support consistent implementation of the HealthySteps model at the clinic level.
- Monitor site-level fidelity to screening protocols workflows and documentation practices.
- Identify and resolve practice-level challenges or barriers and elevate trends or concerns to the Program Manager.
- Participate in quality improvement activities focused on practice consistency and effectiveness.
Clinic Collaboration & Site Coordination
- Maintain positive working relationships with clinic staff providers and site contacts to support daily operations clear role boundaries and adherence to program scope and policies.
- Support clinic-based workflows and coordination related to HealthySteps service delivery.
- Participate in clinic meetings huddles or case discussions as appropriate to support integration of HealthySteps services.
- Represent HealthySteps professionally at the clinic level using approved messaging and materials.
Data & Documentation Support
- Support accurate and timely documentation by HealthySteps Specialists.
- Assist with practice-level data collection and use of required systems (e.g. screening and documentation tools).
- Collaborate with the Program Manager on data-related questions or fidelity concerns.
Professional Development & Team Support
- Support implementation of professional development activities identified by program leadership.
- Encourage reflective learning collaboration and adherence to agency values.
- Model professionalism accountability and trauma-informed practice.
- Support culturally responsive family-centered practice that reflects the strengths values and needs of our community.
Other Responsibilities
- Uphold PCCTs values of compassion integrity & transparency collaboration & respect learning & adaptability and excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the HealthySteps Program Manager to support effective program implementation.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Masters degree in clinical educational social work or child development related field.
- Minimum of two years supervisory or leadership experience in social service or clinical environment.
- Demonstrated experience with reflective supervision or coaching.
- Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in healthcare or clinic-based environments.
- Commitment to culturally responsive and trauma-informed practice.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Endorsement in Infant Mental Health as a Reflective Supervisor.
- Experience working within the HealthySteps model or similar early childhood prevention programs.
- Collaborative growth-oriented leadership style.
- Fluency in Spanish.
