Title: Graduate Assistant UH Cancer Center Events

Monthly Type: 11 MonthFull Time/Part Time: Part Time - Full Time Equivalency (FTE): 50%

Posting Start Date:February 11 2026

Posting End Date: February 23 2026 at 11:59 pm HST

Available Positions: One (1) Temporary/Permanent: Temporary

Salary:Step 14 ($2335.50 per month)

Other conditions:Inquiring candidates must be enrolled as a student at University of Hawaii Manoa campus.


Job Duties:

  1. Monitors the Sullivan and Cancer CARE Community email (reviewing responding and triaging the inquiries).

  2. Assists Sullivan Conference Center users with the logistical and A/V functions (before and during the event).

  3. Assists with event and tour coordination (i.e. follow up with various tasks related to the event) and planning with the Event Coordinator.

  4. Assists with the development of event collateral (printed material/ handout/ signage).

  5. Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.

  6. Collaborates with the volunteers on specific tasks within an event.

  7. Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:

  1. A classified University of Hawaii at Manoa graduate student (new or continuing). Good academic standing (3.0 GPA or above).

  2. Competent in general computer programs (e.g. Excel PowerPoint Word).

  3. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff.

  4. Flexible with hours worked (nights and/ or weekends)


Desired Qualifications:

  1. Familiar with Microsoft Publisher

  2. Familiar with using Canva
