Job Title: Clerical Assistant (Hospital)

Job Summary
A well-established healthcare organization in Brooklyn New York is seeking a detail-oriented Clerical Support Specialist to assist with administrative and document management functions. This role focuses on scanning organizing and maintaining electronic records while providing general clerical and customer service support in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
Scan paper documents into an electronic document management system
Categorize and index scanned documents for accurate identification and retrieval
Electronically file documents into designated digital folders
Perform general clerical and administrative duties including filing data entry reception support and scheduling
Prepare type and format correspondence reports and internal documents
Operate office equipment such as computers scanners fax machines and photocopiers
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with staff and patients
Coordinate with nurses physicians and internal team members to support daily operations
Deliver excellent customer service and administrative support
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of clerical or administrative experience
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Prior healthcare or medical office experience preferred
Familiarity with medical terminology preferred
Typing speed of 50 keystrokes per minute or higher
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook
Strong written verbal and interpersonal communication skills
Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
Ability to interact professionally with patients throughout the workday
