The Carolinas Hospitalist Group is looking for an APP to join the Hospitalist team at our Cleveland location.
Position Details
Full-time Nocturnist schedule: 6:00 p.m. 4:00 a.m.
100% inpatient adult medicine
Experience Required
Graduation from an accredited NP (Acute Care Nurse Practitioner) or PA program
Current license to practice as NP or PA in North Carolina
Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license
BLS for Healthcare Provider (AHA) must be valid at least 90 days beyond start date
Job Summary
Specialty care APPs provide concentrated services within Hospital Medicine delivering comprehensive care to acute and chronically ill adult inpatients during overnight coverage. Responsibilities include performing initial and ongoing medical histories and physical examinations completing daily clinical assessments documenting findings and plans of care in the medical record ordering and interpreting laboratory and radiologic studies determining treatment plans writing prescriptions administering medications and performing minor procedures as appropriate.
The APP collaborates closely within a multidisciplinary care team to ensure continuity and quality of patient care while exercising sound clinical judgment in a fast-paced high-acuity environment. The role also includes advocating for the patient population served and participating in departmental or practice initiatives and meetings as requested.
