Requirements
We are looking for an experienced Cassandra Database Administrator to manage optimize and support distributed Cassandra environments for high-scale mission-critical applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Cassandra architecture performance tuning automation and cloud/on-prem deployments.
Key Responsibilities
Design deploy configure and support Cassandra clusters (cloud & on-prem).
Monitor performance troubleshoot issues and optimize throughput and latency.
Manage backup recovery disaster recovery and data replication strategies.
Implement data modeling compaction sharding and consistency policies.
Collaborate with DevOps and application teams for efficient integration.
Automate DBA tasks using scripting/tools.
Handle upgrades migrations patching and security configurations.
Perform root-cause analysis and production support.
Mentor team members and promote best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
610 years DB experience with 3 years in Apache Cassandra.
Strong knowledge of Cassandra internals (Gossip Partitioning Repair Hinted Handoff).
Experience in multi-DC cloud or hybrid environments.
Proficiency in scripting (Python/Shell/Ansible).
Experience with tools like nodetool cqlsh OpsCenter.
Strong data modeling performance tuning and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
