This position will report toManager of Transportation Administration

This role is the primary point of contact for the Transportation Operations CO during non-business hours6:00PM to 6:00AM. Under limited supervision this role will be responsible for error resolution proactively tracking freight OS&D resolution and processing late orders via the TMS.

There is a $1.00 shift differential for this being night shift.

Relocation is not eligible for this role.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Track loads to ensure OTD and ensure late truck communication is sent to the appropriate team members.
• Work closely with the transportation team to ensure synergies are being recognized to reduce overall freight spend.
• Responsible for OS&D resolution under minimal supervision.
• Provide initial accident paperwork and communication.
• Work cross functionally with warehouse operation customer service and/or QC to resolve issues.
• Vacation will be limited during the week of Thanksgiving Christmas week after Christmas and the last week of the fiscal year.

Qualifications:

Required

• Demonstrates dependability due to transactional customer service required for this role.
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills: ability to communicate with clarity and diplomacy with time sensitive/challenging issues.
• Demonstrates proficiency with Microsoft suite of products.
• Proven ability to initiate appropriate action independently.
• Proven ability to multitask with a high degree of accuracy.
• Knowledge of transportation processes to troubleshoot issues in a faced paced environment.

Preferred

• Blue Yonder Transportation Management System (TMS) experience and or motor carrier dispatch experience.
• Knowledge of warehouse shipping processes.
• Experience with order processing systems.
• Strong organization skills.

At Hormel Foods base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. The base hiring pay range for this role is between $18.75-$26.25 per hour and your actual base pay within that range will depend upon a variety of factors including but not limited to job-related knowledge skill set level of experience and geographic market location.
