We are looking for aPediatricPhysiotherapistthat can specialize in pediatric therapy care within the Simcoe County Community. This position is aPart-Time orFull Time Salariedrole with our School-Based Rehabilitation Program (SBRS) andcomplex core clients in schools and homes.

What you will be doing:

• Support a Tiered Model school-based rehabilitation program. You will assess and build client and family centered therapy care plans based on the students developmental needs (e.g. gross motor programming mobility equipmentrecommendations )and collaborate closely with the school team and family

• Provide care to complex pediatric clients (neurological and musculoskeletal conditions) while supervisingPTAswithin childrenshomes and schools. You will build therapy care plans and recommend equipment based on the clients developmental safety and functional needs.

• As a pediatric client advocate you willfacilitatea partnership between families schools and the local healthcare systems to ensure that your clients are able to attend andparticipatein school and community activities and engage successfully with the curriculum.

The successful Physiotherapist will:

• Have a current active registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario in good standing

• PreviousPediatric experience is preferred

• ADP Authorizer or willingness to be trained is preferred

• Have knowledge of legislation regulations and policies applicable to practice

• Have knowledge of principles of reflective practice

• Use a systematic approach to decision making during the development implementation and evaluation of the physiotherapy care plan

• Be able to manage time and workload effectively

• Ensureappropriateand secure documentation

• Be able to work within a flexible schedule and adaptable environment

• Have the physical capabilities to perform the duties of the position.

• Have a valid Drivers License and reliable insured vehicle

• Have vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS) within 12 months of hire (or in process) with a current Criminal Records Check

• Ability to speak French will be an asset
