An exciting opportunity is now available for a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist to join our team working across two sites in outpatient oncology care and inpatient acute haematology / oncology services
About the role
As a Grade 2 Occupational Therapist in the new Integrative Oncology Unit youll play a pivotal role in optimising the health and wellbeing of oncology patients through helping patients manage the physical emotional and cognitive challenges that arise during cancer treatment. You will conduct comprehensive assessments and tailor individualised supportive care plans that support patients during and beyond treatment in line with their health and wellbeing goals. Collaborating closely with the integrative oncology team and broader cancer healthcare teams youll integrate evidence-based strategies to mitigate treatment side effects enhance recovery and improve overall quality of life. Your role will also involve delivering and evaluating multidisciplinary group based educational initiatives for patients and families. You will also contribute to supportive care research multidisciplinary program development and quality improvement efforts within the unit. This position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact combining clinical expertise with compassionate care in a dynamic and supportive healthcare environment.
