The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and experiencedSpeech Pathologistto join our growingSpeech Pathology ServiceatAccess Health & Community. This role is ideal for adynamic Grade 2 Speech Pathologist withexperienced Grade 1 clinicians also strongly encouraged to apply.

Youll be part of asmall close-knit and supportive multidisciplinary team where your ideas are genuinely valued and youll have the opportunity to help shape and evolve our service delivery.

This is a Fulltime position however we are open to consider candidates that would be looking for Part time 0.8EFT role. The role is based in Hawthorn with the ability to travel to Richmond site.

About the role

This position offers adiverse and rewarding clinical caseload supported by aSenior Clinician Speech Pathologist with structured opportunities for professional growth and development.

Your caseload will include clients with:

  • Acquired chronic and complex communication and swallowing needs
  • Progressive and acquired neurological conditions
  • Conditions associated with ageing

Services are delivered across a variety of settings including:

  • Clinic-based sessions
  • Telehealth
  • Clients homes
  • Group programs

Youll work closely with individuals families and the broader community to design and deliverperson-centred evidence-based interventionsthat make a real difference.

What you will be doing Key responsibilities

  • Work within professional scope of practice and service capability to providetimelyevidence-basedand acceptableclinical care to clients of the Speech Pathology service
  • Optimise clients physical and mental health and social wellbeing through promotion of multi-disciplinary care and linkage to relevant community services and programs
  • Engage with clients and carers to support self-management and goal directed care planning
  • Develop effective collaboration withboththe multidisciplinary teamand Speech Pathology teamsto enhance clinical outcomes of clients
  • Meet key performance indicators as mutually agreed with manager and in line with Access Health & Community strategic plan
  • Understand funding and revenue streams relevant to providing Speech Pathology based services. Working with eligible clients including HACC CHSP NDIS and Aged Care Packages.

What you will bring Key Selection Criteria

  • Bachelor of Speech Pathology (or equivalent) and membership with (or eligibility for) Speech Pathology Australia
  • Minimum of2years experiencein aSpeech Pathologyrole within aCommunity HealthHospitalor private practiceenvironment
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision ofSpeech Pathologyserviceswithin a community-based area of practicesuch asprogressive neurologicaldiagnosisacquiredneurological conditionschronicdiseaseorage-relatedconditions
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently as a Speech Pathologist and collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary service
