Description

The Security Officer II provides security and protection for guests employees and the property. Maintains crowd control prevents theft and discourages altercations in a high-volume atmosphere. The Security Officer works in an efficient and professional manner while maintaining a positive attitude and always delivering superior guest service. The role sets the standard for venue Security through on-the-job interaction and demonstration. This is not an all-encompassing job is dependent on the venue of hire and offered position which will be presented for review and acknowledgment upon hire

ESSENTIALFUNCTIONSOFTHE POSITIONINCLUDEBUTARE NOTLIMITEDTO:

  • Providessecurityandprotectionforourguestsemployeesandcompanyproperty

  • Maintainup-to-dateknowledgeofpersonsofinterestwhomaybedeniedentranceintoourvenueorpast employees who have been 86ed from the venue

  • Maintainup-to-dateknowledgeofVIPcustomers/clientsaswellashotelexecutives

  • Informmanagementofanycomplaintscommentsorincident

  • Appearinthedress codeforallshifts atyourscheduledtime

  • Alertandgetapprovalforallbreaksleaveofrotation ordutieswhichyoucannotperformatthetimethey were assigned to you

  • Beattentivetoallcompany-relatedevents andupcomingvenuesand changes

  • Keepaproperandprofessionalappearanceand attitude

  • Maintainandpromoteafriendlyatmosphereforcustomersandstaff

  • Complywithaddedhoursortimeframeafterascheduledshift as needed

  • Circulateamongguestsandemployeestopreserveorderandprotectproperty

  • Administerfirstaidandassistinjuredguestsor employees

  • Ensurethatproperauthoritiesare contacted

  • Upholdslawandorderinthehotelinconjunctionwithlocallaw enforcement

  • Remainsalertforanysuspiciouspersonsor activities

  • Reportsanysafetyhazardsimmediately toMaintenanceand/or Management

  • Answersallguestquestionsandfurnishesdetailedinformation oncasinofacilitiesattractionsretailshopsandfood and beverage locations

  • Followsradiocommunicationproceduresandcorrespondingcodes

  • Reactprofessionallyandrationallyinemergencyandpressure situations

  • Restrainsintoxicateddisorderlyorinsubordinateguestsandalertsmanagementimmediately

  • Followstheestablishedproceduresforescortingandassistingnecessaryemployeestocashcontrol

  • Communicateprofessionallywithallmanagement

  • Promoteandpracticessafetyawarenessandbehavioradheringtoallsafetystandards

  • Directsemergencyvehicleswhencalledupon

  • Assistsand/orcompletesadditionaltasksasassigned

EDUCATION/WORKINGKNOWLEDGE:

  • 2yearsofSecurityexperienceor3yearsofHospitalityexperiencepreferred

  • 21yearsofage

  • Maintainaprofessionalneatandwell-groomedappearanceadheringtoCompanystandards

  • Possessionofortheabilitytopossessallstaterequiredworkcards fortheposition
