About the Job:
The Head Tennis Teaching Pro is responsible for helping the Tennis Director organize and manage tennis programs and staff update and analyze the facilitys finances innovate tennis programs and mentor better coaches. This role combines tennis coaching expertise with a deep understanding of business concepts organizational development and ethical leadership.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Leadership & Staff Development:
- Leading and developing a positive and effective team culture focused on continuous growth and high performance.
- Helping Tennis Directors create a cohesive team environment by establishing clear goals providing mentorship and aligning team efforts with the broader mission of creating a program that allows clients to grow their tennis skills and have fun.
- Managing the coaching staff and supporting their professional development through regular performance reviews mentoring and opportunities for continued education.
- Leading the tennis program with a focus on ethical leadership promoting fairness integrity and sportsmanship at all levels of interaction.
- Ensuring adherence to ethical practices in player selection coaching methodologies staff interaction and customer interactions.
- Developing and implementing leadership programs that mentor junior staff enhancing their coaching and group/class management skills.
- Program Construction and Development:
- Running and adapting class programs to the number of attendees and the players needs market trends and business conditions.
- Helping the Tennis Director to drive innovation by introducing new tennis drills and leveraging emerging trends in tennis to enhance player training and performance.
- Overseeing operations of the Multi-Use Facility ensuring staff and client adherence to safety protocols.
- Leading change management efforts with staff when introducing new initiatives or modifying program strategies ensuring smooth transitions for all involved.
- Collecting feedback from participants to continuously improve the quality of lessons events and the overall customer experience.
- Conducting thorough market research to identify emerging trends in tennis evaluating competitor offerings and assessing customer satisfaction.
- Working with the Tennis Director to develop a strategic marketing plan to promote the tennis program utilizing social media email campaigns and community outreach.
- Accounting & Financial Reporting:
- Overseeing and updating transaction logs on the proper excel files (stringing log private lesson log and income transaction log).
- Meeting with the Tennis Director once a month to analyze revenue streams from private lessons group clinics and events and track player retention program growth and profitability helping to make data-driven decisions that enhance program offerings.
- Communicating effectively and courteously with others including employees students and the public in a spirit of teamwork respect and customer service.
- By actions words and lifestyle be a Christian role model to students whether through casual contact or in a formal supervisory role.
- Demonstrated experience working cross culturally with respect appreciation and humility.
- Other duties as assigned.
Were looking for candidates who have:
- USPTA Level 2 Certification or higher.
- 2 to 3 years of teaching and oversight of group classes.
- The ability to work weekends and evenings.
