Compensation Range

The base pay scale for this position is $47.00 - $48.50. In addition this position will be eligible for additional benefits consistent with the role. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be determined based on various factors including but not limited to: scope of role level of experience education accomplishments internal equity budget and subject to Fair Market Value evaluation. The hiring range listed is a good faith determination of potential compensation at the time of this job advertisement and may be modified in the future.

What you will be doing

Hours 9am-5pm

Schedule Flexible as needed: weekends weekdays and holidays required

Position Summary

Successful candidate will support the Food and Nutrition department at Hospital for Special Surgery by providing comprehensive nutrition and collaborative food service care to meet our patients needs.

Skills/Position Requirements

Strong interpersonal clinical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent customer service and ability to communicate with all team members to resolve problems.

Ability to take initiative work independently manage heavy workload.

with good time management skills.

Experience with Epic and CBORD (Foodservice Suite) preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide nutrition therapy to adult and pediatric inpatients according to medical condition and nutrition needs.
Develop treatment plan to promote wound healing after surgery and maintain nutrition status.
Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and communications.
Provide nutrition education and counseling.

Schedule

Flexible as needed; weekdays weekends and holidays required.

Required Credentials

Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD)

Certified Dietitian Nutritionist (CDN) in NYS

Pediatric experience

Masters degree preferred
