Weekend OPD Bushing Winder

Hitachi Energy in Alamo TN is seeking a this position you will work with assembly drawings and measuring devices to properly wind bushings to match the customers specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Work with Kampf-Stahlkontor and Menzel winding machines overhead cranes lifting devices to successfully wind bushings
• May be required to provide information to maintenance engineering and/or quality assurance about the performance of the winding equipment
• Must be able to work within team structure with minimal supervision
• Continuous training on new equipment or new processes within the condenser winding area and based upon additional assignments
• Use vacuum cleaners standard and special hand tools winding templates tape measure calibers and other measuring devices as needed to complete windings
• Willingness to cross-train between condenser bushing winding machines
• Must be able to operate a computer and learn specialized programs as needed to perform job functions
• Able to stand and/or walk on hard surfaces for up to 10 hours per day
• Able to regularly pick up and manipulate up to 35 pounds safely

Requirements:

• High School Graduate or GED
• One year of experience in a manufacturing setting reading and interrupting assembly drawings
