Our research focuses on the role of perivascular cells in maintaining the integrity and function of brain vascular networks. Specifically we aim to understand the contributions of lesser-known perivascular cell types such as fibroblasts and macrophages in regulating brain vascular dynamics. We are interested in exploring how these cells regulate vascular function at both the cellular and ultrastructural levels and how alterations in these perivascular cells contribute to disease progression. We are currently seeking a professional research assistant to support lab management including the maintenance of the mouse colony and to assist with ongoing experiments. These experiments include but are not limited to in vivo two-photon microscopy immunohistochemistry single-cell transcriptomics and 3D electron microscopy.
