Through our resource recovery and waste management facilities including the Paget Waste Facility we support employment and skill development while contributing to environmental sustainability. For every 150 tonnes of waste we recover we create one job for the local community!

About the role

As a Weighbridge Operator at the Paget Waste Facility your primary responsibilities include:

• Operating the weighbridge system (Mandalay) to log waste transactions accurately.
• Weighing incoming and outgoing waste vehicles and ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Handling cash and processing EFT transactions.
• Providing exceptional customer service assisting customers with waste disposal and recycling inquiries.
• Ensuring accurate record-keeping and reporting of waste transactions.
• Maintaining site safety and ensuring compliance with environmental and operational procedures.

What were looking for

• Basic computer skills (mandatory) and experience using weighbridge systems (desirable).
• Friendly personality with excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A commitment to safety teamwork and following operational procedures.
• Experience in waste management transport or logistics is desirable but not essential.
• Full training provided for the right candidate.
• A passion for sustainability recycling and environmental responsibility.
