Windings is seeking a customer-focused engineer to help translate real-world challenges into manufacturable this role youll work directly with customers and internal teams to develop custom electromechanical productsincluding stators rotors motors and generatorswhile supporting new business growth.
This position sits at the intersection of engineering and business. Youll help define technical requirements shape solutions and build the proposals that bring those solutions to life.

What Youll Do
- Partner with customers to understand technical requirements and translate them into practical manufacturable solutions
- Develop cost estimates quotes and proposals that align with engineering requirements and business objectives
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to define scope feasibility and delivery timelines
- Support new business development efforts by providing technical insight during early customer discussions
- Prepare clear accurate documentation including statements of work assumptions and specifications
- Identify opportunities to improve cost manufacturability and lead times
- Communicate changes in scope technical requirements or timelines to both internal teams and customers
- Maintain accurate project and customer data within CRM systems
- Contribute to continuous improvement of quoting proposal and technical processes
What a Typical Week Might Look Like
- Meeting with a customer to refine requirements for a custom motor application
- Working with engineering to validate feasibility and optimize design for manufacturing
- Building a cost model and preparing a customer quote
- Supporting business development discussions with technical input
- Coordinating internally to align on timelines risks and assumptions
What Were Looking For
Must-Have
- Bachelors degree in Engineering or related technical field (or equivalent experience)
- 2 years of experience in manufacturing design engineering or a related environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Comfort working across multiple projects and priorities
Nice-to-Have (not required)
- Experience with electric motors generators or electromechanical systems
- Exposure to cost estimating quoting or proposals
- Customer-facing or cross-functional collaboration experience
- Familiarity with design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) principles

Salary Description:
$75000-$90000 annual DOQ
We are committed to providing pay ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on your experience qualifications location and internal equity considerations. The listed pay range is provided in good faith and is subject to adjustments in accordance with company policies and market conditions.
This position is eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus program based on company performance goals. Bonus payouts are not guaranteed and are determined at the companys discretion.
