Job Summary
OB/GYN Sonographer
Location: Southgate KY 41071
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday Friday
Shift: Day Shift 8:00 AM 4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $55 $61 per hour (Based on Experience)
Position Overview
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking OB/GYN Sonographerfor an exciting job in Southgate KY.
Responsibilities
Perform diagnostic obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations
Follow established imaging protocols and professional standards
Produce high-quality images and accurate diagnostic data using ultrasound equipment
Prepare patients and assist physicians during ultrasound-guided procedures
Obtain and verify patient history and supporting documentation prior to exams
Assess patient physical psychosocial and educational needs
Clearly explain procedures to patients families and clinical staff
Maintain accurate and timely documentation order entry and exam tracking in electronic systems
Ensure compliance with HIPAA infection control safety and departmental policies
Maintain equipment report maintenance needs and ensure proper functionality
Participate in peer review departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives
Support efficient workflow including same-day add-ons and urgent scheduling as needed
Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 1 year of experience in high-risk or office-based OB/GYN ultrasound
Proficiency in real-time imaging techniques including M-mode pulse wave and color Doppler
Strong knowledge of fetal anatomy cross-sectional anatomy and medical terminology
Ability to communicate relevant technical findings to interpreting physicians
Experience with PACS and structured reporting systems
Excellent communication interpersonal and customer service skills
Education Requirements
Associates or Bachelors degree in Ultrasound or Allied Health
ORGraduation from an accredited ultrasound training program
Completion of 30 ARDMS CEUs every 3 years
Certifications & Licensure
RDMS (OB/GYN) Required
BLS (American Heart Association) Required
