Pay rate as a casual employee is $51.14 per hour for a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner.

The skills set we are seeking from our Mental Health Practitioner includes crisis assessment that focuses on first session stabilization provision of initial intervention skills and brief treatment planning. The follow-up care or bridge care will be brief evidence-based solution focused strategies that match the patients presenting issue(s) with the patients/families capacity to implement. Specific modalities might include CBT DBT ACT MI and parent training. It will be essential that successful candidates are trauma care informed.
A Brief Overview
Provides quality psychotherapy and education to children families and adults in the appropriate specialty/departmental needs. Diagnose and treat patients independently. Establishes and maintains professional working relationships with hospital staff physicians community agencies and professionals.
Education Qualifications
- Masters Degree from an accredited college or university in social work counseling or related field Required
Experience Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience as a licensed mental health practitioner in a child or adolescent environment preferred
- Experience in outpatient mental health setting preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of psychological principles child and adolescent development inter-relational dynamics individual and group behavior and behavior modification techniques.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to communicate effectively with patients and families physicians and other clinical professionals to gather and exchange patient information.
- Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail of work time when providing therapy observing patient response scoring tests and documenting patient progress.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skill in providing age-appropriate care to children adolescents adults and families.
Licenses and Certifications
- Current and valid Independent Mental Health Practitioner Nebraska license or state of Nebraska eligible Required
- Non-Violent Intervention training Preferred
