Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced finance professional to joinCoupangCloud Finance team based in our Mountain View office. This role willlead our Cloud FinOps team andpartner closely withengineerleaders across US KoreaJapanand Taiwan to deliver actionable financial insights that drive cloud cost optimization and cloud strategy.
What You Will Do
Planning Reporting and Analysis:
- Leadstrategicfinancial analysisand planningon cloud related projectsandinitiatives such as ROI analysis TCO analysiscloud serviceBuy vs. BuildHybrid and multi-cloud strategy analysisand AWSReserveInstance and Savings Planplanning
- Partner with stakeholders toidentifycost optimizationopportunitiessetefficiency improvement goalsandtrackcloud savings
- Work with engineering leads across Coupang to define and build Cloud usage operation metrics and guardrails monitoring AWS spend to key business metrics performance
Operation:
- Reviewing cloud capacity requestsfrom engineering and providing cloud cost optimization recommendations where applicable
- Establishanautomation mechanism to routinelymonitoringAWSReserveInstance and Savings Planandcoverage and supporting RI purchase origination processtooptimizeRI savings
- Partner withengineerteamsto drive company resource improvement
- Leveraging Coupang AWS cost data to do benchmarking analysisidentifyingoutlier services that require provision revisiting
- Build data driven insights that help shape and championcompany widecloud governance policy
Basic Qualifications
- 10years of experience in financial planning and analysis in a fast-pacedtechnology-orientedorganization.
- Experience with SQL queries Tableau & organizing large datasets
- Proficient in developing comprehensivefinancial models creating new financial processesmodelsand tools.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to partner with non-financial leaders in technology. Ability toarticulatecomplexcloud &financial topics clearly.
- Strong MS-Office skills (Excel Word Access PowerPoint) and experience with SAP.
- Extensive Business partnership experience with executives and senior leaders.
- 2years experiencewith at least 1 public cloud provider (AWS Azure GCP) with working knowledge of cloud technology & cloud cost drivers
- Preferred 2 years of people management experience
Pay & Benefits:
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. At Coupang your base pay is one part of your total compensation. The base pay for this position ranges from $125000/year in our lowest geographic market to $233000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience.
