Position Overview

Behavioral Health RN will provide direct psychiatric nursing care in an inpatient setting. Nurses are expected to actively participate in maintaining a safe and therapeutic milieu while supporting interdisciplinary treatment goals.

Core Responsibilities

  • Medication administration for up to 25 patients

  • Conduct and document comprehensive nursing assessments

  • Write shift notes and complete weekly/monthly clinical documentation

  • Participate in therapeutic milieu management

  • Serve as Charge RN when assigned

  • Collaborate with Mental Health Therapy Aides and interdisciplinary team

All RNs are included in core staffing numbers and are expected to work collaboratively in patient engagement and safety oversight.

Required Qualifications

  • Active RN License (New York State required)

  • Prior psychiatric/behavioral health nursing experience required

  • Strong documentation and medication administration skills
