Job Summary
Lifespan Physician Group the largest physician organization in Rhode Island is looking for clinically sound nocturnist with interest in cardiology. To work asthe overnight ICCU hospitalist who is required to admit and cross cover patients on this unit as well as general medicine patients on one of the Hospital Medicine Floors. The patients in the ICCU are stable intermediate level care patients that do not warrant the Coronary Care Unit.
Position highlights include:
Salary structure based approximately 168 shifts per year
Nocturnist $205000 base with $40000 bonus
Split day/night position also available $192500 base with $40000 bonus
Salary and benefits benchmark with SHM data based on shift numbers
Salary is adjusted based on years of hospital medicine experience. Following three years of service the base increases by 20K

- Compensation $245K - 3rd year $275K
- EMR is EPIC
- 15 shifts per month; aggregate total of approximately 168 per year
- 0.5 FTE 8 shifts per month
- 0.75 FTE 12 shifts per month
- Additional 4 weeks of vacation
- Shifts is 7pm-7am
- Coverage in the ICCU (Intermediate Coronary Care Unit)
- Codes handled by teaching service; Hospital Medicine backs up the RRT
- 16 beds in the ICCU
- Admissions to the ICCU ranges from 0-4 (typically 1-2)
