Job Title: Speech/Language Pathologist
Education Level: Masters Degree
Certification/Licensure: Nebraska Teaching Certificate (required) DHHS Licensure (required) ASHA Certification (CCC-SLP) (preferred)
Essential Functions of Position:
- Plan and implement programs for children birth-21 in appropriate settings (natural environments classroom small group and individual).
- Possess knowledge of human development interventions and of Rule 51 and Rule 52.
- Serve as an active member of the MDT IFSP and IEP processes.
- Conduct language assessments (articulation language fluency voice) with children birth-21 years of age.
- Provide case management duties for infants toddlers or students under Rule 51 or Rule 52.
- Facilitate interventions that reduce remediate or eliminate speech and language impairments that interfere with the students ability to benefit from the districts educational program.
- Support the Multi-tiered System of Supports (MTSS) process (pre-referral interventions) through consultation provision of strategies and materials to parents teachers support staff and administrators.
- Stay abreast of and implement best practices and evidence based instructional strategies.
- Complete all the required paperwork and reports from ESU 10 school districts served and the Nebraska Department of Education).
- Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.
- Willing to travel.
- Regular and dependable attendance is an essential function of this position.
- Other duties as assigned.
