Your Impact at LAURIN

As an IT Specialist you will play a critical role in enabling secure reliable and efficient technology operations across our offices and construction jobsites. Partnering with internal teams and external service providers you will support project delivery protect our technology environment and ensure systems tools and infrastructure consistently meet our standards for performance security and client satisfaction.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the lifecycle security and performance of all technology assets including computers laptops mobile devices tablets servers network equipment and licensed software.
  • Procure configure deploy and decommission IT equipment and systems for new hires role changes and employee departures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and coordinate timely updates replacements and upgrades of hardware and software.
  • Manage the IT helpdesk function including ticket tracking troubleshooting prioritization and resolution.
  • Serve as the primary internal contact for third-party IT service providers coordinating day-to-day support escalations and project work.
  • Negotiate and manage IT contracts service agreements licensing and purchasing arrangements.
  • Ensure consistent IT standards configurations and security practices across all offices and jobsites.
  • Support setup and operation of IT services for new construction jobsites including connectivity hardware deployment and coordination of services in trailers.
  • Coordinate technical integration efforts between software vendors and internal stakeholders collaborating with stakeholders to support business workflows and data integrity.
  • Plan test communicate and implement system upgrades rollouts and integrations with minimal operational disruption.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on software applications systems and technology tools as required.
  • Develop document and enforce IT policies procedures and best practices.
  • Support cybersecurity data protection backup and disaster recovery practices in collaboration with third-party IT providers and internal leadership.


Qualifications

  • Strong working knowledge of IT infrastructure hardware networks cloud-based systems and cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Proven experience managing the full lifecycle of technology assets including procurement deployment maintenance inventory tracking and replacements.
  • Experience managing ERP systems accounting platforms HRIS solutions and resolving software integration issues.
  • Proficiency with construction-industry software including Autodesk suite (Autodesk Construction Cloud Revit Navisworks Building Connected) Microsoft 365 Microsoft Azure ERP/accounting systems HRIS platforms and safety management applications.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and ongoing interest in emerging technologies including artificial intelligence automation and modern digital tools.
  • Ability to support both office-based and field-based users including construction jobsites with unique connectivity requirements.
  • Experience managing IT helpdesk operations and coordinating with third-party IT service providers.
  • Vendor management and contract negotiation experience.
  • Strong project coordination skills including system rollouts upgrades and integrations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage IT systems across multiple districts across Canada and for International project assignments.
  • High level of organization attention to detail and commitment to data security system reliability and continuous improvement.

Education & Professional Credentials

  • Post-secondary education in Information Technology Computer Science Information Systems or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and practical experience may be considered.
  • ITIL Foundation (considered an asset)
  • Microsoft and Autodesk Certifications (considered an asset)


Estimated Compensation

The salary range for this role is $75000 $95000 based on experience and qualifications. Final compensation will be confirmed in your personalized offer.
