Occupational Health & Safety Lead (Fixed Term Contract)
Job Summary
AbouttheRole
As the Occupational Health & Safety Lead for the Pelican Point Battery Energy Storage System (PPBESS) youll be the onsite HSE lead throughout establishment construction commissioning and handover. Youll oversee daily contractor activities ensure compliance with ENGIEs HSE standards and regulatory requirements and drive a strong proactive safety culture across the project. This is a 2year fixedterm role supporting the safe and compliant delivery of one of South Australias landmark renewable energy projects.

- ImplementandoverseeENGIEsHSEsystemson-siteensuringallcontractoractivitiescomplywithprojectHSEplanslegislationandsafeworkpractices.
- Leaddailysafetyengagementincludingtoolboxtalksriskassessments(SWMS/LMRs)SIMOPScoordinationandpromotingapositivesafetyculture.
- MonitorassessandreportonHSEperformanceincludingincidentinvestigationsweekly/monthlyreportingandcontinuousimprovementactivities.
- ReviewcontractorHSEdocumentationandperformancesupportingprocurementevaluationssupplierqualificationandCAPEX/OPEXHSEinputs.
- Actastheon-siteliaisonforregulatoryinspectionsandauditsensuringcompliancewithallapprovalconditionslicencesandlegislativerequirements.
- ChampionENGIEsOneSafetyProgrammaintainingstrongsafetystandardsacrossPPBESSandsupportingotherprojectsiteswhererequired.
About You
Youreasafetyprofessionalwhobringsbothtechnicalcapabilityandapracticalhandsonapproachtosupportingconstructionandrenewableenergyactivitiesconfidentengagingwithcontractorsinfluencingsafebehavioursandnavigatingregulatoryrequirementsinadynamicprojectenvironment.
