Senior Program Manager - National Airborne Operations Programs

Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join the Executive Transport and Surveillance (ET&S) team in Oklahoma City OK or San Antonio TX.

This role will lead the National Airborne Operations programs supporting United States Air Force customers. The portfolio includes long-term sustainment obsolescence modification and engineering support activities for a 747 derivative aircraft fleet. The position directs cross-functional teams interfaces with external customers and oversees significant internal resources.

Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position along with the ability to build strong relationships collaborate in a cross-functional environment and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees and mid-level managers performing business management activities in the area of Program Management
  • Develops and executes integrated organizational plans policies and procedures and guides the development of business and technical strategies goals objectives
  • Acquires resources for organizational activities provides management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Builds and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of business approaches products and processes
  • Develops and manages financial targets to align with long-range business unit objectives

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5 years of experience in Program Management Best Practices (i.e. Requirements Management Resource Management Integrated Planning and Scheduling Financial Oversight Earned Value Management (EVM) Program Performance Management Supplier Integration RIO (Risk Issue Opportunity) Management Program Communication Senior Leadership Reviews etc.)
  • 5 years of experience managing risks cost performance and schedule performance
  • 5 years of experience in developing and deploying organizational strategies and leading long-range business plan processes
  • 5 years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior executives customers stakeholders peers and partners
  • 5 years of experience leading or managing program performance utilizing Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • 5 years of experience with RIO (Risks Issues and Opportunities) processes and tools
  • 5 years of experience leading or managing proposal development and negotiating government contracts

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors Degree or higher
  • Active Secret Clearance is preferred

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Travel: Capable of traveling up to 50% of the time

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range:

Oklahoma City OK $189550 - $256450

San Antonio TX$204000 - $276000
