Job Summary
The Position: Starting 2026-2027 School Year. This position involves teaching elementary school math in grades 1-3 and emphasizes differentiated developmentally appropriate approaches to teaching and learning. It also prioritizes the thoughtful integration of instructional technology and supports students social and emotional growth. Teacher certification is not required for this role.Key Responsibilities: As an independent day school we expect teachers to become involved in the life of the school. Beyond classroom work teachers attend weekly school meetings school functions and community events. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:Supporting the mission and philosophy of the SchoolDemonstrating academic excellence through a working knowledge of GUSs core curriculumOrganizing the classroom and establishing routines that support young childrens learningPlanning lessons that are interdisciplinary and thematicParticipating in parent conferences and meeting with parents regularlyWorking collaboratively with grade level team Keeping accurate and up-to-date records on student progressMeeting with the administrators as scheduled Qualifications: At GUS we recognize that there are innumerable ways to learn grow and excel professionally.
