The Boeing CompanyBoeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is looking for a Sustainment Program Lead Engineer (Level 5) to join our team in El Segundo California.
As a Sustainment Program Lead Engineer you will support the customer on maintaining and monitoring vehicle fleet in operations; Provide factory expertise and recommendations to the customer; Develop new operations to meet customers needs; Be a part of our passionate and highly-motivated team who are excited to be on the forefront of modern spaceflight.
Position Responsibilities:
Customer Interface for providing status/updates to cost schedule and inputs based on customers Statement of Work
Manage team and staffing for sustainment program
Manage cost and budget for sustainment program
Support program director
Provide and review technical engineering factory recommendations to customer for fleet or vehicle operations
First responder for Support fleet issues or signatures (24/7)
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology) Computer Science Data Science Mathematics Physics Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
10 years of experience working with Real-time Satellite or Space Systems Operations
Must be willing and able to be on call for 24/7 support
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
14 years of experience working with Real-time Satellite or Space Systems Operations
Program or Project Management experience
Cost Accounting Management experience
Root Cause Corrective Action experience
Team Leadership experience
Strong general System Engineering background
