A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ASSISTANT NIGHT MANAGER AT THEMUNICIPAL HOTEL & SPA MGALLERY
What youll be doing...
As the Assistant Night Manager you play a pivotal role inleading our overnight operation upholding the refined standards of the MunicipalMGallery. Whilst supporting the NightManager you will also independently lead overnight shifts during the NightManagers days off acting as the senior decision-maker and Manager on duty.
In this role you ensure the transition from day to nightremains seamless and invisible to our guests. You will take full responsibilityfor guest safety financial accuracy through the Night Audit and theleadership of the night team delivering calm confident leadership throughoutthe night.
Key Responsibilities:
Leading the Vision
Lead the overnight hotel operation in the absence of the Night Manager
Uphold the MGallery Memorable Moments philosophy throughout the night
Ensure consistency of five-star service standards across all overnighttouchpoints
Operational Excellence
Manage and complete the Night Audit with absolute accuracy when leadingshifts
Ensure all financial reporting is precise compliant and completed on time
Deliver seamless departmental handovers to the morning management team
Guest Relations
Act as the primary point of contact for overnight guests when leading shifts
Manage late arrivals early departures and guest concerns with polishedempathy
Resolve issues calmly and professionally reflecting luxury brand standards
Safety & Security
Act as the designated overnight Fire Marshall and Health& Safety lead when required
Conduct regular security patrols of the hotel and historic premises
Ensure the safety security and well-being of guests colleagues andproperty
Team Leadership
Night Auditors
Night Housekeeping Team
Provide direction coaching and support tocolleagues during independent shifts
Foster a culture of accountabilityprofessionalism excellence and care.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous experience in a Front Office or Nightssupervisory role within a luxury or five-star hotel
Proven ability to manage overnight operations independently
Strong proficiency in PMS systems (Opera Cloud preferred) and Night Auditprocedures
Confident decision-maker with a calm reassuring leadership style
Passionate about luxury hospitality and delivering personalized guestexperiences
