This position can be remote within the US with preference given to candidates located in New York.

We are looking for a Data Operations Manager who thrives in data complexity an expert in large-scale data manipulation and automation who can design repeatable systems to clean standardize and transform data into structured formats.

This role is hands-on and practical. You will build the internal tooling and frameworks that allow us to process our customer data faster more accurately and at scale. You will also serve as our internal Center of Excellence (CoE) for data capability.

Responsibilities:

Build Scalable Data Transformation Tooling

    • Design repeatable frameworks for cleaning and standardizing large datasets (typically originating in Excel)
    • Build Excel-based automation (advanced formulas Power Query VBA scripts etc.)
    • Create structured mapping templates to harmonize different ERP export formats
    • Standardize units material codes packaging hierarchies and naming conventions
    • Design error-checking and validation systems to flag inconsistencies
    • Reduce manual cleanup work through automation and reusable logic
    • Own High-Volume Data Processing
    • Work with datasets containing thousands to millions of rows
    • Optimize transformation workflows for performance and reliability
    • Create version-controlled transformation logic and reusable templates
    • Develop scalable processes to onboard new clients efficiently
    • Improve Data Quality & Governance
    • Define internal standards for clean and ingestion-ready data
    • Build data validation checkpoints before ingestion into the AI tool
    • Create documentation and transformation playbooks
    • Ensure auditability (critical for compliance reporting)
    • Serve as Data Capability Lead (Internal CoE)
    • Advise product operations and onboarding teams on data intake strategy
    • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive data tasks across the company
    • Train team members on data best practices
    • Help shape long-term data process improvements
    • Bridge the gap between raw client data and product-ready structured inputs
$120000 - $150000 a year

Location Preference:
The role is onsite working; we are looking for team members to be located at our head office inNew York Citywith weekly in-office days at our office at 1460 Broadway.
