Exciting Opportunity to Join our new Patient Care Model called Together Teams.
Together team model shifts responsibility to a 3 person-team. (bedside RN partner CNA) and virtual RN.
Model brings added patient safety expertise and mentoring to bed side and leverages technology
Description:
- CNA provides quality nursing care to patients; implements specific procedures and programs; coordinates work within the department as well as with other departments; reports pertinent information to the immediate supervisor; responds to inquiries or requests for information; and assists the immediate supervisor with tasks to support department operations.
- The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) may be assigned to function in either the Health Unit Coordinator or Nursing Assistant role.
Responsibilities:
- Provides assistance with activities for daily living including eating bathing dressing toileting mobility
- Assists patient with procedures/care (prosthetic device sitz baths catheter care toileting enemas rectal bags colostomy care cold compresses).
- Applies products appropriately (anti-embolism stockings sequential compression devices restraints monitors).
- Sets up respiratory and cardiac equipment (Oxygen incentive spirometry suction EKGs cardiac electrodes).
What you will need:
Required:
- Certification as a nursing assistant by the Maryland Board of Nursing
- High school diploma
- BLS Certification
Preferred:
- 1 year of hospital experience.
Pay Range-$17.03-$23.85
Pay is based on experience skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
