Position Summary
The Behavioral Health Springboard ( BHS ) at the School of Social Work University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill links current research to initiatives in mental health and substance use disorder treatment systems. BHS offers curricula development technical assistance program consultation and face-to-face and online educational programs. Collaboration between the university and the community (local regional/state global) is mutually beneficial for the exchange of knowledge and resources in a context of partnership and reciprocity. These exchanges enrich scholarship and research; enhance curriculum teaching and learning; prepare educated engaged citizens; strengthen values and civic responsibility; address critical societal issues; and contribute to the public good. Our training resources products and experienced staff help organizations design effective service delivery systems and assist with the transitions needed to implement evidenced based practices for improved client outcomes and systems efficiencies. BHS is seeking a highly skilled experienced COE Program Manager to provide support to the NC Division of Child and Family Well-Being (NC DCFW )s Center of Excellence Technical Assistance Program ( COE - TAP ). This role involves collaboration with multiple stakeholders including NC divisions and departments ( DCFW DSS DMHDDSUS ) Local Management Entity-Managed Care Organizations ( LME - MCO ) provider associations providers and family advocacy organizations. The COE Program Manager will serve as lead project manager on the development and establishment of the Center of Excellence Technical Assistance Program lead cross-divisional professional learning communities translate ideas and plans into digestible presentation material collect and utilize programmatic performance data to inform strategic action and implementation plans and apply research tools and policy formulation skills to new and revised NC initiatives. The COE Program Manager will be responsible for task management and leadership for the Child Behavioral Health POD .
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Masters degree in social work human services public administration psychology public health or related field. Five or more years of progressively responsible program development and/or project management experience using implementation science frameworks. Experience to include program administration budget management monitoring and evaluation team facilitation and reporting
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Licensed as a NC mental/behavioral health professional. Thorough knowledge of policies related to NCs child serving systems including child welfare juvenile justice and mental health Experience writing grants and proposals executive summaries; framing problem statements Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Effective project management skills including setting goals and timelines; evaluating and monitoring progress; and engagement with multiple stakeholders in order to gain and maintain their focus on project overtime. Experience using implementation science tools and strategies to support programmatic adaptations and innovations Approachable calm style encouraging open and solution-oriented communication across high-level stakeholders Highly proficient in all Microsoft programs (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook) as well as in teleconferencing technology (Zoom Big Blue Button Teams Canvas Moodle etc.) Leadership coaching and teambuilding skills Ability to manage conflict and works well with multiple stakeholders bridging university community organizations and state government Ability to be effective under stressful deadlines and timeframes with frequently changing priorities
