Your role and responsibilities:
- Maintain and support the site Master Schedule production of each manufacturing area in status over orders in process to remain informed of manufacturing stage and when needed initiates the necessary steps to maintain conformity with schedules.
- Participates in planning and establishing overall production objectives with consideration given to existing workload orders stock parts requirements shipping dates and sales forecasts.
- Coordinates manufacturing order management interfacing with Customer Service/Sales to turn customer orders and forecasts into manufacturing orders determine quantity and batch size of all orders and monitor finished goods inventory.
- Issue the Production Orders to the area to match the schedule.
- Update Gemba board in each area daily on schedules completed and complete monthly KPIs on each area schedule attainment.
- Process Purchase Requisitions for raw material requirements while ensuring raw material is available to meet schedule.
- Coordinates schedules with other departments for lead-time required for procurement of tools and materials subcontracting to avoid costly delay customer dissatisfaction and complaints as directed by the Planner/ Kanban and order requirements for production area consumables to meet schedules.
- Ensure WIP pipeline is healthy to support forecast delivery plan
What is required for this role:
- Bachelor of Science degree strongly preferred; High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in materials management and planning within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in strategic supply chain planning inventory optimization and supplier relationship management.
- Extensive experience with MRP and ERP systems including real-time scheduling JIT/pull systems and system optimization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead capacity planning initiatives and align cross-functional teams across production engineering and procurement.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office especially Excel (pivot tables macros) PowerPoint and Outlook.
- SAP knowledge preferred with experience in configuration reporting and system integration to implement best practices and drive process efficiency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of driving cost savings and operational improvements.
- Experience leveraging data analytics to identify trends risks and opportunities for process enhancement.
- Proven leadership in continuous improvement initiatives such as automation lean practices or digital transformation projects
