This position is responsible for operating the remote control inflatable blimp during the Hershey Bears home game intermissions at GIANT Center as scheduled. This includes set up helium filling pre-flight balancing/weighting operation prize distribution management and storage with a focus on safety fan interaction and professionalism.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):

Inflate anchor and safely store aircraft prior to and immediately following intermission flight.*
Pilot remote-controlled blimp unit ensuring stable positioning and movement for optimal fan experience and sponsorship execution.*
Operate blimp in a manner that engages fans safely ensuring a positive in-game experience and act as a brand ambassador of blimp sponsor.*
Perform basic maintenance identify damage and report any issues to management.*
Assist Blimp Operator with spotting during blimp operation as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must be 18 years of age or older
Minimum 2 years of related Sports/Entertainment experience
Must have a valid drivers license
FAA Part 107 Certification preferred but not required
Completion of high school or GED
- 5 years of experience in lieu of education

Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

Skilled in the use of Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word.
Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient working under pressure in an energetic environment.

This job requires the visual ability to perform detailed work at close distances (computer screens accounting ledgers using measurement devices).
This job regularly requires verbal communication of detailed information to others either by phone or in person.
Substantial movements of the wrists hands and/or fingers (Repetitive motion).
Must be available to work all home games (Friday/Saturday nights Sunday afternoons and some weekdays and weeknights) from October to April plus playoffs as needed.
