Position Overview

A Texas state agency is seeking an experienced Senior Instructor Trainer and Instructional Designer to lead the development and delivery of enterprise-level technical training programs. This role supports a large-scale PeopleSoft Financials ERP 9.2 implementation and requires deep expertise in ERP curriculum development accessibility-compliant instructional design and multi-modal training delivery.

This position will collaborate within a large remote Agile team environment and will contribute to incremental and iterative training development aligned with system rollout milestones.

Key Responsibilities

Training Program Development

  • Design and implement a comprehensive training program aligned to financial business operations within a PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 ERPenvironment.
  • Develop accessibility-compliant role-based training materials from the ground up.
  • Participate in system design sessions and testing cycles to ensure training accuracy and operational alignment.
  • Break down complex technical subject matter into structured blocks or units of instruction.

Curriculum & Content Creation

  • Create instructor-led web-based and asynchronous eLearning materials.
  • Develop course outlines facilitator guides job aids exercises and instructional graphics.
  • Write and maintain supplementary technical documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ensure materials meet EIR accessibility standards and accommodate assistive technologies.

Delivery & Facilitation

  • Conduct instructor-led classroom training virtual sessions workshops and multimedia programs.
  • Deliver short technical courses to maintain proficiency and pilot new instructional approaches.
  • Develop alternative teaching scenarios to maintain engagement and retention.
  • Conduct testing analysis and revise assessment materials as needed.

Learning Infrastructure & Collaboration

  • Manage and update training SharePoint site to maintain accessible current resources.
  • Utilize MS Teams and Channels for collaboration within a large distributed team.
  • Support staff productivity reporting.
  • Research and recommend vendors training platforms and alternative instructional methods.
  • Contribute to Agile delivery cycles and iterative curriculum updates.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must meet or exceed the following minimum experience requirements:

  • 8 years developing ERP system training programs.
  • 8 years developing accessibility-compliant training content.
  • 4 years hands-on experience with eLearning software.
  • 4 years hands-on experience with PeopleSoft FSCM 9.2 ERP.
  • 4 years experience with Microsoft O365 applications including Word Excel PowerPoint and Visio.
  • 2 years experience using MS Teams and Channel communication in large team environments.
  • 2 years experience maintaining and updating SharePoint sites.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working within a public sector environment Federal State or Local Government.
  • Experience with Jira for Agile project tracking.
