The Assistant Bartender plays a critical support role in the execution of Socials bar operations. This position ensures all bar stations are immaculately organized fully stocked and service-ready while supporting cocktail execution ingredient preparation and batching programs. Precision consistency and preparation are at the heart of this role.

Pay Rate: $16 per hour

Key Responsibilities 

Bar Support & Service Readiness 

  • Ensure all bar stations are fully stocked with spirits mixers ice glassware and tools prior to and throughout service. 
  • Support bartenders during service by anticipating operational needs and maintaining station readiness. 
  • Assist with smooth service flow by keeping workspaces clean organized and functional at all times. 
  • Support high-volume and high-energy service periods with speed focus and attention to detail. 

Cocktail Prep & Batching Support 

  • Assist with cocktail ingredient preparation including: 
  • Juicing syrup production infusions garnishes and pre-prepped components 
  • Supporting clarification fat washing infusion and batching prep as directed 
  • Support the cocktail batching program through accurate measuring labeling dating and storage of all batched products. 
  • Follow recipes measurements and SOPs precisely to ensure consistency and quality. 
  • Maintain proper rotation shelf life awareness and First In First Out practices for all prepared components. 

Cleanliness Organization & Standards 

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar stations prep areas storage rooms and equipment. 
  • Ensure proper storage rotation and par level maintenance of all bar inventory. 
  • Support opening and closing procedures including setup breakdown cleaning and restocking. 
  • Uphold Rimrocks standards of personal presentation professionalism and workplace conduct. 

Compliance & Operational Support 

  • Follow all health safety sanitation and hygiene regulations in line with local legislation and brand standards. 
  • Assist with safe handling and movement of kegs cases and supplies. 
  • Support bartenders and leadership in maintaining operational efficiency and consistency. 
  • Collaborate respectfully with the bar team and other departments to support overall service success. 

 


Qualifications :

What You Bring 

 Previous experience in a bar restaurant or hospitality support role.
Strong interest in cocktails spirits and professional beverage service. 
High attention to detail organization and cleanliness. 
Ability to work efficiently at a steady pace while maintaining quality standards. 
Willingness to support the team and take pride in behind-the-scenes excellence. 
 

Bonus If You Bring 

Experience supporting cocktail-focused or beverage-led venues. 
Familiarity with prep techniques such as batching infusions or garnish production. 
Interest in growing into Bartender or Lead Bartender roles over time. 
Formal or informal education in hospitality bar operations or beverage service.

Physical Demands 

Continuous standing and walking throughout service periods. 
Frequent bending reaching and lifting up to 11lbs (5kg); occasional lifting up to 22lbs (10kg). 
Ability to work at a steady to fast pace in a high-energy bar environment. 

Visa Requirements: Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
