Program AssistantSummary: The Program Assistantis responsible forproviding support to the Manager Eligibility Operations through various administrative and clerical duties and will provide support to various programs and projects.
Responsibilities: - Provides support to the Manager Eligibility Operations
- Assistsin 211 and Weatherization programs and projects
- Verifies organizesapplicationsandassistsin approvals and denials
- Communicatesbetween Weatherization Program participants
- Communicatesbetween 211 Financial Assistance program participants
- Attendsstaff meetings andtakesnotes
- Makescopies and updatesparticipant and program files as needed
- Assistswith inbound calls when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Abilities: - Detail oriented with the ability to navigate within structured timelines and regulations.
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Creative thinking
- Excellent phone etiquette
- Ability tomaintainconfidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
- Knowledge of MS Outlook WordExceland PowerPoint
- Must have politeclearand compelling oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to execute andaccomplishimmediate deliverables on short notice.
- Must be highly organizedresponsiveand be able to handle multiple deliverables at the same time.
- Must be a great teammate that cares deeply about the overall success of UWM.
Education and Experience: - Associatesdegreein a business-related field or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- 2-4years ofrelated experience
Physical Requirements: - Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
- Ability to communicate clearly in person and over the telephone.
- Reasonableaccommodationsmay be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
