We are seeking a highly skilled UX/UI Designer to join our Technology Team. Medcan is growing to help our clients live healthier happier lives by making smart evidence-based health decisions over the long term through expanded locations and services new digital and physical experiences and action-based results. This is a critical role which will support key strategic initiatives to enhance the digital client experience at Medcan.

What Youll Do:
Designing intuitive brand-consistent experiences that improve usability and engagement for clients
Continually improve and optimize user interface and user experience for sites
Collaborate with Product Owner and developers during concept through to delivery
Ensure consistency in visual elements across all touch points leveraging a design system
A11y champion including advocating for WCAG-aligned inclusive design practices across web experiences
Apply UX principles to drive clarity urgency and personalized emotional connections
Rapidly iterate designs based on performance data feedback and testing outcomes.
Create wireframes UI designs and interactive prototypes in Figma
Maintain exceptional attention to detail across layouts spacing typography hierarchy and visual consistency
What Youll Need:
User-focused with a passion about creating user-centered intuitive designs that solve real-world problems
Great design aesthetics and skills. Your designs stand out in that they elegantly solve customer problems
Excellent communicator comfortable working cross-functionally translating design ideas into clear actionable concepts for product engineering and business stakeholders
Proven experience in a UX/UI design role with a portfolio showcasing digital and/or native mobile applications
Expertise in Figma for design and prototyping Experience with mobile app design and development is a nice to have
Experience with accessibility and inclusive design practices
Mid-level role with minimum of 3 years experience as a UX/UI Designer
This is a full-time hybrid (2 days in office) position working40 hoursper week based on business needs between regular office hours Monday Friday (9 AM - 5.30 PM). Our downtown Toronto clinic is convenientlylocatedat 150 York St. which is nearby St. Andrew station or a 10-minute walk from Union Station!
Position Pay Range
$71465.00 - $98264.75 CAD annuallyPay will be determined based on an analysis of the selected candidates experience and qualifications within the roles compensation grade. Medcans compensation ranges are determined by a combination of required qualifications and skills market value and internal equity. The above range pertains solely to the base compensation and is not inclusive of additional compensation details such as perks benefits and potential bonuses or incentives.
