Purpose
The Business Solutions Lead is a strategic role responsible for driving business transformation and technology adoption across the Organization within Canada and Internationally. This leader will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify design and implement innovative solutions that support operational excellence regulatory compliance and regional growth objectives.
Accountabilities
- Solution Development: Analyze business needs propose tailored solutions and oversee project delivery for new and existing products and services.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with our partner in GRM and Global Treasury and other functional areas within the Bank ensuring alignment of business objectives and technology strategies.
- Process Optimization: Lead process improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce operational risks.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure solutions comply with Canadian and International Banking regulations for each market where the Bank of Nova Scotia operates.
- Change Management: Drive adoption of new systems and processes providing training and support to end-users across regions.
- Report Management: Provide regular updates to Leadership Team on the status of GRM and Global Treasury pipeline of initiatives.

Education / Experience / Other Information (include only those that are specific to the role)
- Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration Information Technology Finance or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years leading business solution projects preferably in financial services and multicultural environments.
- Excellent communication interpersonal and presentation skills. Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish.
- Skills: Project management stakeholder communication analytical thinking problem-solving and familiarity with Risk Management.
- Experience working with development teams and systems integrators to deliver successful solutions.
- Familiarity with cloud-based platforms (e.g. AWS Azure GCP)
- Knowledge in Data Tools (SQL Excel)
- Possess a strong understanding of data management principles product ownership best practices and the Canadian financial services landscape.
- Cross-cultural awareness and adaptability.
- Experience with digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Working Conditions
- Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.).
