Basic Job Functions:
The Maintenance Manager for the Galvanizing Lines is responsible for overseeing all aspects of maintenance and continuous improvement ensuring safety quality productivity and cost efficiency. This role drives continuous improvement manages team development and ensures compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and cultivate a culture of safety and housekeeping across all operations.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
- Managing the maintenance of all galvanizing line equipment predictive and preventative maintenance program.
- Monitor spare parts inventory equipment reliability and support implementation of corrective actions to maintain machine reliability.
- Oversee maintenance performance and training development.
- Oversee CAPEX deployment collaborating with the Engineering Department.
- Ensure adherence to all industry-related standards and internal quality requirements.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve issues and maintain product integrity.
- Manage budgets monitor consumables and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Oversee department and area cost control methods and cost reduction improvements.
- Lead coach and motivate our teams to achieve departmental goals.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide training for skill development.
- Conducting failure analysis and ensuring actions are implemented in timely and effective manner
- Drive initiatives for process optimization efficiency and reliability.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical or electrical or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of leadership experience in manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of maintenance strategies
- Experience with relative CMMS System and proficient with Microsoft Office package.
- Excellent communication leadership and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in mechanical electrical or automation engineering.
- Previous mechanical or electrical maintenance experience.
- Proficient with AutoCAD or similar program.
- Experience with Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
