Join our dedicated team as a Care Professional at Home Instead in West Indianapolis this rewarding role you will provide compassionate personalized care and support to clients in the comfort of their homes enhancing their quality of life and promoting independence.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities including personal hygiene meal preparation medication reminders and mobility support.
• Develop trusting relationships with clients and their families to understand their unique needs and preferences.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment by performing light housekeeping tasks as needed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client well being.
• Adhere to all company policies procedures and care plans to deliver consistent high-quality care.

Requirements

• Previous experience in care giving or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine passion for helping others.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Reliable transportation to reach clients homes within Indianapolis IN.
• Background check and drug screening clearance.

HOURS AVAILABLE-

Day Shift:

• Full-Time: 8am - 5pm
• Part-Time: 8am- 1pm

Mid-Day Shift:

• Full-Time: 1pm - 9pm
• Part-Time: 12pm - 6pm

Evening Shift:

• Full-Time: 3pm - 11pm
• Part-Time: 5pm - 10pm

Some Overnights:

• Part-Time: 10pm - 6am (x2 or x3 days a week)

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and companionship to seniors in their homes.
• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing dressing grooming and meal preparation.
• Help clients with mobility and light housekeeping tasks.
• Monitor clients health and safety reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Support clients emotional and social needs through conversation and participation in activities.
• Follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation of care provided.
• Communicate effectively with clients families and the Home Instead team to ensure quality care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in care giving or related field is a plus but not required.
• Compassionate patient and dependable with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
• Reliable transportation to travel to clients homes within Indianapolis IN.
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends as needed.

• Provide personal hygiene assistance for elderly patients or those recovering from surgeries injuries or accidents by attending to their basic needs such as showering bathing dressing and eating
• Remindclients to take prescribed medication
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctors appointments walks etc.)
• Assist with personal care and hygiene
• Plan and prepare meals
• Complete clients shopping or accompany them to successfully do so
• Perform housekeeping duties
• Report any unusual incidents and act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Offer activities that areessential for daily living by assisting patients with their meals including serving and other tasks if necessary

• Enjoy working in a one-on-one setting eager to improve and continuously learn new skills
• Ability to perform all essential job functions with or without accommodations
• Valid drivers license and reliable transportation every single day
• Validated ability to act in a compassionate and supportive manner
• Available to work different shifts including nights and/or weekends
• Prior experience in a healthcare hospitality or in-home care environment (minimum of 1 year)
• Willingness to enforce health and safety standards

• High School Diploma or equivalent/Experience as a Caregiver
• Take pride in providing high quality care
• Hoyer Lift Experience (specific to client)
