Job Description:
The Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Summer Intern will work directly with the Global Director of EH&S to support global safety environmental and compliance initiatives across the organization. This internship provides hands-on exposure to enterprise-level EH&S programs regulatory compliance data analysis and continuous improvement initiatives within a global manufacturing and divisional environment.
This is an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated student interested in Environmental Health & Safety Occupational Safety Environmental Science Engineering or a related field to gain real-world experience at a global level.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Support global EH&S initiatives programs and strategic projects led by the Global Director of EH&S
- Assist with data collection analysis and reporting related to safety metrics environmental performance and compliance
- Help prepare presentations dashboards and reports for leadership reviews and global meetings
- Participate in audits risk assessments and gap analyses related to safety and environmental programs
- Support development and standardization of EH&S procedures training materials and communications
- Collaborate with site-level EH&S teams and cross-functional partners as needed
- Assist with special projects related to continuous improvement regulatory requirements and sustainability initiatives
- Conduct the 20th annual Ergonomics Cup Competition across all global manufacturing facilities
Requirements:
- Candidate must be attending a four-year university.
- Candidate must be studying Bachelors in Environmental Health & Safety Occupational Safety Environmental Science Engineering (Industrial Mechanical Chemical or related) or a closely related field.
- Candidate must be able to work 40 hours in the summer
- Must have cumulative 2.7 GPA on 4.0 scale
- Must be a full-time student (12 or more credits) during Fall and Winter semesters
- Candidate must have right to work in the US and not require current or future sponsorship
