In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Order Management: Ensure daily order booking aligns raw material availability and update status against the plan as well as pending orders.
Build Plan Preparation: Release monthly assembly build plans considering past due orders customer urgencies material availability and manufacturing capacity. Monitor daily execution progress and finished goods movement while tracking the average take-out rate to maintain it at an optimal minimum level.
Weekly Planning Coordination: Coordinate with Material and Supply chain departments to schedule weekly assembly plans in alignment with monthly production plans.
Daily Board Meetings: Attend daily assembly board meetings and align actions for stores /packing for material issues and QA for inspection priorities. Also maintain level loading in assembly to maximize output.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with in-house subcontracting supply chain and Quality to fulfill weekly assembly loading plans and address day-to-day issues in planning and execution. Focus on past due orders and address customer urgencies ensuring manufacturing activities aligning with third-party inspection notifications in line with the build plan.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor weekly assembly loading plans analyze plan versus actual performance take corrective actions wherever needed and strive to maintain uniform daily build rates with maximum efficiency. Perform RCCM on monthly basis to meet operational goals.
System Health: Ensure consistent maintenance of system health by monitoring data accuracy workflow adherence and timely system updates to support smooth planning and execution.
Who You Are:
You are a meticulous planner skilled at aligning production schedules with material availability and manufacturing capacity. With acute attention to detail you coordinate assembly plans on a monthly and weekly basis ensuring smooth operations across departments. Analyzing performance metrics you proactively adjust plans to maintain efficiency and meet customer demands. Your expertise in ERP systems ensures the integrity of production data fostering a culture of reliability and consistency.
For This Role You Will Need:
Minimum 5-6 years of experience in production planning within a manufacturing environment preferably in valve manufacturing or a similar industry.
Proficiency in ERP systems particularly Baan ERP for production planning and inventory management. Hands-on experience in Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of material requirements planning (MRP) and supply chain management.
Experience in coordinating with multiple departments to ensure seamless production planning and execution of orders.
Analytical skills to monitor and improve production plans and processes.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with various teams including materials stores quality and assembly.
Problem-solving skills to address and resolve planning and scheduling issues promptly.
Ability to maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering Industrial Engineering or a related field.
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning concepts.
Experience with advanced ERP systems especially Baan ERP will be an advantage. Knowledge of advanced Excel.
Capable of describing and documenting overall production planning strategies.
Contribute to and help maintain the planning framework for various types of production planning (material requirements planning capacity planning inventory management) across multiple manufacturing processes (in-house subcontracting and supply chain).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
