Skills and Competencies
- Must have 56 years of overall experience including 13 years in AI/ML with hands-on involvement in building intelligent applications.
- Strong full stack development expertise with proficiency in Python JavaScript and modern frameworks such as FastAPI Flask Django React and Angular.
- Experience in designing and deploying Generative AI solutions including LLM-powered chatbots autonomous agents and domain-specific AI assistants.
- Solid understanding of system architecture API design and scalable cloud-native solutions (Azure AWS).
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases including PostgreSQL MySQL DynamoDB and MongoDB.
- Familiarity with MLOps LangChain LangSmith vector databases and modern frameworks for building agentic AI systems.
- Strong system design capabilities including modular architecture distributed systems and high-performance backend APIs.
- Excellent leadership mentoring and collaboration skills with the ability to drive best engineering practices in agile environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
Education
- Bachelors/ Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.
Responsibilities
- Architect and build secure modular and high-performance systems to support advanced and intelligent AI-driven applications.
- Develop and integrate enterprise-grade Generative AI solutions leveraging LLMs and frameworks like LangChain and Azure AI.
- Design and maintain backend services and APIs while collaborating closely with frontend teams to deliver seamless user experiences.
- Work across both frontend (React/Angular) and backend (Python/Node) components to create cohesive product experiences.
- Lead and mentor a team of developers fostering innovation and promoting engineering best practices.
- Conduct code reviews manage GitHub repositories and ensure compliance with CI/CD pipelines and agile methodologies.
- Collaborate with Product Managers Data Scientists and cross-functional stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Continuously explore and integrate emerging AI/ML system design and cloud technologies to enhance product capabilities.
- Communicate technical strategies and architectural decisions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

The Model Dev team is dedicated to both introducing innovative new catastrophe models and continuously refining and supporting those already in use. Our work encompasses the entire lifecycle of model development from initial concept and design through rigorous implementation testing and maintenance. We collaborate closely to ensure that each model remains accurate up-to-date and highly responsive to the evolving needs of the insurance industry. By staying agile and integrating the latest advancements in technology we guarantee that our models deliver reliable insights for risk assessment and management ultimately strengthening the resilience of our clients against catastrophic events.
