As a Technician Life Cycle Acceleration (LCA) you play an essential role in executing rapid generation back-crossing programs across multiple crops. Your work supports our breeding teams in accelerating the development of new vegetable varieties.

You directly contribute to speeding up the breeding process shortening the time from seed to seed.
You work in a high-tech international environment with colleagues across various LCA hubs.
You combine handson greenhouse work with data processing giving you a dynamic and varied workday.

Make a difference as Technician Life Cycle Acceleration

As a Technician Life Cycle Acceleration you contribute to accelerating our breeding process by supporting both practical activities in the greenhouse and administrative work related to data handling. You work in a fastpaced hightech environment where precision teamwork and flexibility are key. You collaborate closely with your supervisor and colleagues from various international LCA hubs to ensure smooth project execution and continuous process improvement.

Your tasks include:

Performing essential greenhouse activities such as transplanting planning emasculations and pollination perform germination checks in the greenhouse.
Ensuring correct plant and sample identification through accurate label printing and workflow management.
Recording and processing data from trials and prebreeding projects in Excel Phenome and UTM.
Dividing your time between greenhouse tasks and administrative/data-related activities (approx. 50/50).
Working flexibly when needed to support timesensitive activities.
Actively contributing to the optimization of the LCA workflow and processes.

What you bring as a future colleague

Demonstrated experience working with plants (greenhouse experience is an advantage)
A relevant tertiary qualification or proven working experience (breeding knowledge is a plus)
Ability to work flexible hours including early mornings
Strong planning and time management skills
High accuracy in both physical and digital tasks
A problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
Competence in data collection and experience with Excel
Good communication skills in English both spoken and written
A team-oriented adaptable and reliable attitude
