About the role
Responsible for strengthening safety culture and excellence in care across SVHNS in alignment with the NSQHS Comprehensive Care Standard. It focuses on personcentred researchdriven practice development to reduce preventable HospitalAcquired Complications.
Leads and supports organisationwide personcentred practice development to improve comprehensive care for patients at risk of delirium cognitive impairment falls pressure injury malnutrition/dehydration behavioural emergencies selfharm suicide and restrictive practices.
Works with NUMs clinical teams and afterhours teams to identify gaps and strengthen alignment with NSQHS Standard 5
Collaborates with the Nursing Research Institute and clinical staff to translate evidence into practice using implementation science facilitating researchdriven change and contributing to publications and presentations.
Leads or participates in Communities of Practice for Standard 5 supports accountability systems for comprehensive care outcomes and contributes to ongoing monitoring reporting and evaluation of practice development initiatives.
Builds workforce capability by partnering with education teams to develop resources supporting ongoing staff learning and maintaining own professional development through continuous education and engagement in contemporary nursing practice assessment.
About you
Currently registered as a Registered Nurse (division 1) with the Australian Health Professionals Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with relevant post graduate qualifications and experience.
Current unrestricted NSW Drivers Licence (class c or above).
Demonstrated strong leadership self-motivation and advanced facilitation skills.
Effectively engaging and organising clinicians and staff to achieve organisational and program outcomes through excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication.
Demonstrated expertise in project and change management applying diagnostic tools evidence-based strategies and transformational practice development principles to drive sustainable clinical improvement cultural change and improved patient outcomes.
