The Banquet Captain is responsible for coordinating the delivery of all food and beverage services for functions held in the Hotel and overseeing all details pertaining to events in Banquet and Meeting rooms in keeping with the standards prescribed by management. The position is primarily concerned with front-of-house operations and on-site event execution.
- Lead and assist with banquet event setup service and breakdown
- Coordination and oversight of banquet staff including scheduling and pre-function briefings
- Participate in Event Order (EO) meetings and review BEOs/EOs to ensure all event details are clearly understood and properly executed
- Maintain and oversee banquet china glassware flatware linen and equipment ensuring readiness cleanliness and proper storage while reporting any shortages or damage
- Serve as the on-site point of contact communicate with Culinary Management and Sales teams and address guest or client concerns professionally
- Ensure all banquet functions meet hotel brand standards maintain clean and organized storage and staging areas follow safety and sanitation guidelines and hold self and staff accountable for performance
