Work Year:185 days
Duties:Under the immediate supervision of the School Psychologist the Psychologist Intern will:
- Conduct psycho-educational evaluations for Special Education including writing reports and attending IEP meetings
- Participate in and chair IEP meetings
- Participate in the Student Success Team (SST) process
- Provide support with the Student Success Team (SST) process for administration teachers and support staff
- Conduct systematic behavioral observations of students in a variety of settings
- Consult with teachers administrators parents and community resources regarding students in Special Education as well as regular education
- Observe and conduct a functional behavior assessment or other behavior intervention
- Participate in a school program such as the crisis intervention team
- Provide individual and group counseling and early intervention for students showing signs of having learning difficulties or other difficulties hindering their academic progress including but not limited to social skills training anger management conflict resolution and peer mediation
- Performing other duties as assigned by the District
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
- Current enrollment in a Masters program in School Psychology
- University verification regarding intern eligibility
