Accounts Payable Analyst I

The Accounts Payable Analyst reports to theDirector of Accounts Payableandis responsible forproviding accounting and financial support services including those related to vendorpurchaseorders invoices payments credits recoveriesmargin supportand other accounting duties as assigned.

Year 1 is going to be about:

• Perform all aspects of the accounts payable function more specifically Vendor EscalationsMargin Assuranceand Collections.
• Perform detailed research on discrepancies using ERP data vendor documentation shipment records and internal systems.
• Proactively engage vendors to resolvediscrepanciesrecover credits.
• Using judgement tounderstand riskimpactand escalation.
• Communicate with internal departments to notify and resolve.
• Ensure compliance with Company policies and proceduresregardinginvoice processing and disbursements.
• Assistin the identification of other relevant issues within the department andparticipatein the creation of innovative solutions and/or the implementation of new policies/procedures.
• Perform other duties asrequiredto support the accounts payable group and Finance Department.

We cant skip over some of the specific skills and experience we know are a must to be successful. So we need you to have:

• Education: Earned or working towardsBachelors or Associatesdegree in accounting/finance
• to 3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred.( NotRequired)
• Intermediateproficiencyin Microsoft Office isrequired particularly Outlook and Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics/ Great Plains preferred.
• Experience withDoclink- Document Management System software preferred.
• Must be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
• Ability to meet deadlines and follow-up on pending issues.
• Open to change and committed to continuous process improvement.
• High degree of personal integrity.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
