Role description:

Our Apprenticeship programme offers you an exciting opportunity to jump straight into the professional world and earn a living whilst also studying for professional qualifications. As an Apprentice you will play an active part in driving your career development and will be exposed to a variety of projects across the business. Technical experience is key in our sector which is why youll be supported by your line manager to develop the Knowledge Skills and Behaviours needed to meet your apprenticeship and to work towards accreditation or chartership where applicable. Youll be part of a supportive Early Careers community and will work alongside skilled professionals. Youll benefit from structured on-the-job training mentoringplus funding and support foraccreditations relevant to your programme as well as the assistanceyou need to develop and succeed.

Role accountabilities:

Our mechanical engineers are part of the MEP team in the Arcadis Places Design Practice delivering elegant and efficient MEP design solutions on exciting and challenging projects for key clients across all sectors including data centres industrial manufacturing commercial education healthcare government custodial and defence.

Mechanical engineering brings buildings to life with the sustainable design of the heating cooling ventilation water gases and life safety strategies and installations. As an apprentice Mechanical Building Services (MEP) Engineer you will be trained in mechanical systems design including 3D modelling of the designed installations.

On this apprenticeship you will complete the BEng (Hons) Building Services Engineering Degree Apprenticeship standard on a day release basis through our agreed training provider Liverpool John Moores University.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Have gained a minimum of 5 GCSE qualifications grade 4-9 Including Maths and English.
• 3 A-Levels or equivalent qualifications at 112 UCAS points or BBC minimum must include Maths Physics Chemistry or Biology
• Be a UK/EU/EAA resident for at least three years prior to starting the course and have the right to work in the UK
• 18 (Level 6) years old and have left full time education when the apprenticeship starts
• You will demonstrate typical Arcadian skills including Resilience Creativity Analytical Thinking and being a Team Player
• You will have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your technical knowledge to influence and consult stakeholders.
• Willing to travel and stay away from homewhen required (where possible we embrace virtual working)
